Calvinism is very simply a CULT, part man made mixed with a little of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It is nothing but a theology for the proud minds of men & women. The god the calvinist pray to DOES NOT exist!!! The best cure for the disease of calvinism is to read the entire Bible. No one has ever became a calvinist by reading the Bible. They became calvinist by reading other peoples books!
2 Peter 2: 1. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
I became a Calvinist by studing the Bible, Vodie Baucham did too, as did many of the Calvinists I know. I started digging deeper into the the Word because of all the teaching saying things along the lines of, "I know the text says.... but it doesn't actually mean what it appears to be saying." Avoiding "Calvinism" requires a lot of mental gymnastics and twisting of the plain text.
I don't think his excuses have anything to do with calvinism. I have heard the same from all types. Basically all wrapped up in this common question: 'how could a good God allow evil.' I think another case of using the human measuring stick against God.
