Yelp Cracks Down on Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Posts Disclaimers
Big Tech has gone into overdrive to promulgate the continued slaughter of our preborn neighbors
Following the overturning of Roe v Wade, Big Tech has gone into overdrive to promulgate the continued slaughter of our preborn neighbors, with Yelp announcing that it will add prominent disclaimers on any crisis pregnant centers, ensuring that they cannot be mistaken for abortion clinics, according to a press release issued by the company.
The trust and safety of our community is a top priority, which is why providing consumers with reliable and useful information to help inform their decisions is critical to our mission — this includes access to reliable information about reproductive health services…(to) further protect consumers from the potential of being misled or confused.”
In an interview with Axios, Noorie Malik, Yelp’s vice president of user operations, explained that she was glad that these centers were being flagged, even if many of them do have trained medical professionals on staff.
“It has always felt unjust to me that there are clinics in the U.S. that provide misleading information or conduct deceptive tactics to steer pregnant people away from abortion care if that’s the path they choose to take.”
