SBC Executive Committee Refuses to Identify True Reason For 9/11 Attacks
The Southern Baptist Convention has an Islam problem. In a mass email, Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee chair Ronnie Floyd reminded readers that on September 11th, 2001, “‘Terrorism’ struck our nation in a devastating manner.” Not Islamic terrorists – “terrorism.” This is the same SBC whose International Mission Board (IMB) and Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (an entity charged with the religious liberty of Southern Baptists) vocally supported Muslim religious freedom yet looked the other way as Christian churches were forcibly shut down by the government.
For the younger among us who were not around then or for those who forgot, a reminder: “Terrorism” was not responsible for the 9/11 attacks any more than a car is responsible for a person killed in a drunk driving crash. The perpetrators of the attacks were radical Islamists – many would argue they were true adherents to Islam as outlined in the Koran, simply killing the infidels as instructed.
Yet the SBC, an entity ostensibly charged with spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world, cannot even bring itself to identify the murderous false religion whose most faithful adherents killed nearly 3000 Americans and wounded countless others. Rather, it apparently prefers to call on America to remember how we (short-sightedly) resolved to end global terrorism:
I will never forget the way our nation unified and resolved that we will “never forget” this tragic day in American history. Under the courageous leadership of President George W. Bush, America resolved to bring an end to terrorism around the world. Unity to this cause was resounded by millions upon millions of Americans.

One of the most unfortunate consequences of the September 11th attacks was how quickly Americans accepted newly-discovered government power over our communications and privacy under the banner of stopping “terrorism.” Rather than identifying the true source of the 9/11 attacks as the evil, murderous, and anti-God ideology of Islam, we blamed it on “terrorism,” chastised anyone who focused on the ideology behind the attacks for supposed Islamophobia and endowed the federal government with broad-based and subjectively defined new powers that made a mockery of due process. Of course, this was done under the banner of “patriotism.” We even called it that – the Patriot Act. Rather than having the moral courage to call Islam evil (at least the radical Islamist version of it) and rightly blame the perpetrators, in our fear we blamed the weapon they used.
This new authority paradigm has conditioned the public to believe the government has the authority to monitor our communications, detain us indefinitely (if they can argue we are terrorists, as with the January 6th protesters still in jail), and use our fear to intrude into our most personal and fundamental decisions on the basis of supposed “safety.”
Yet Ronnie Floyd refuses to name the evil that claimed the lives of our countrymen. This is the Executive Committee of the same SBC that is now forcing all of its missionaries to “vaccinate” themselves and their kids 16 years old and up or be disallowed from returning to the mission field. You know, for safety. This is the same SBC whose Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission cannot find a theological justification for Christians to object to others forcing medical treatments on them, but any false religion that is anti-vaccine can use their anti-scientific legalism as a shield to retain their liberty.
The Southern Baptist Convention has unquestionably and consistently failed the test of standing for God’s righteousness in front of a watching world (to use their preferred lingo). Their churches shut the doors for fear of a virus that spares nearly everyone it infects, and those who faithfully gathered received no support in word or deed. Rather the faithful were attacked. Their missionaries are forced to submit to extra-biblical government legalism if they wish to return to the mission field. And their religious liberty public policy arm – tasked with defending the God-given rights of Southern Baptists – can’t even make a biblical case for its existence.
In the SBC, the 11th Commandment is “thou shalt not criticize a fellow Southern Baptist.” Apparently, the 12th is “thou shalt not criticize Islam.”

Beth Moore: ‘The Pulpit Has become a Threat to Women’
Joining the former ERLC President at his new Church in downtown Nashville, Beth Moore joined her fellow ex-Southern Baptist buddy Russell Moore on a trip down memory lane last Thursday evening, (September 9) reminiscing about all the times they felt ashamed to be associated with their denomination.
The event was not live-streamed, unfortunately so we don’t have video or audio of it yet. Barnabas Piper informs that it was a podcast recording for Moore’s new Public Theology Project, which he’s doing in conjunction with Christianity Today, the progressive rag that he’s found his new home at, and it will be released eventually.
Thankfully, Bob Smietana did a write-up on it a RNS, writing how they spent the night in light banter as they discussed why they left the denomination, pointing out he fact that much of it was based on so many Christians supporting Donald Trump, and being saddened that so few of their fellow bapstsits were joining in the criticism of the former president. She explained why she had to speak out:
“What would you expect out of someone who lives their whole life serving women? “I expected Donald Trump to be Donald Trump. That was not a shock to me. I did not expect us to be us.”
Then, she reflected how she experienced a barrage of sustained criticsm after annoucning that she was preaching from the pulpit to the whole congregation during Mother’s day.
Her preaching at this event led her to tell Moore and the listening audience that women were not a threat to the pulpit but rather:
“No, no, no. Forgive me. The pulpit had become a threat to women.”

One Man Holds Montana On His Shoulders and He Needs Our Prayers; Austin Knudsen

Republicans won the general elections in 2020 known as the Red Wave. The Solutions Caucus, the Quisling Democrat-Wing of the Republican Party was taken back several pegs when Llew Jones lost key lieutenants and some notable pawns in the primary battle that preceded it, losing the RINO grip on the Big Sky State. Combined with a win in every single statewide race by double-point margins, Republicans have enjoyed a mandate to lead in the 2021 legislative session.
Their accomplishments included legislation:
Handing control back to elected county commissioners from unelected health department bureaucrats
A ban on boys playing in girls’ sports
Four pro-life bills designed to mitigate the threat to 1,500 Montanans murdered annually by Planned Parenthood (far more than have died of COVID-19).
“Constitutional Carry” and a strengthening of our Second Amendment gun rights
A roll-back on draconian and ineffectual health orders by Governor Steve Bullock
A ban on vaccine discrimination
These are but just a few of the legislative accomplishments achieved by Republican super-majorities in the Montana House and Senate, with numbers of Solutions Caucus limited enough to make it more difficult for the Democrat-Wing of the Republican Party to stop conservative progress. Combined with the leadership and courage of Governor Greg Gianforte, who signed these bills into law, truly liberal Democrats – a tiny majority in Montana – were in a frenzy.
Besides a few coordinated letter-writing campaigns to local papers, some angry transgender lobbyists, and the fury of out-of-state papers operating their fake news outlets within the state, there was little they could do to stop conservative legislation.
However, now that the 2021 Legislative Session is over, with only a few losses (the childhood sex mutilation bill, for one), a new regime was installed in power by the Democratic process and the overwhelming will of the Montana people.
But, liberals are true ideologues. They believe in a worldview without God, a spurious hatred of anything sacred except an abolition of Moses’ Second Table, a lust for the wealth of other people, and an undying belief that transhumanism – by the power of government – can solve all of the world’s problems through dictatorial power. Montana’s “blue dots” have done everything possible to fight back against the statewide conservative mandate to lead, through astroturf organizations like the Montana Human Rights Coalition, Love Lives Here, the Green Decoy groups, and the powerful Communist-led state employees union are all in a furious rage that after 16 years of a Democratic governor led by turn-coat Republicans in the legislature, things have changed.
And don’t think Washington hasn’t taken notice. They, too, are furious that Montana has flexed its muscle against federal over-reach. And together – Dark Money groups, the Biden Cabal, and out-of-state fraudulently calling themselves Montana – along with their friends in the Legacy Press – have a plan to fight Republican legislative accomplishments in the two-year period of time before our next legislative sessions. Liberal zealot are not giving up a fight.
Their solution? Fighting the will of the People of Montana in the courts, where a run-away judiciary who has made it clear they will not submit themselves either to the constitution or checks-and-balances between the three branches of government, liberals plan to get just a few activist judges to overturn the will of the State House.
The man whose job it is to defend Montana’s laws is Austin Knudsen, and he needs our prayers and support right now. As Attorney General – who won over his opponent Raph Graybill by 16 points statewide, Knudsen will be responsible for defending our rights to a Democratic Republic, in which we have a government by the people, of the people, and for the people, and not run by a few judges who feel as though they can ignore legislative subpoenas, do whatever they want, and get by with everything short of murder (and who knows, maybe that, too).
Our litigious, bitter, angry enemies intent on overthrowing the power of Montana Citizens using the judiciary are busy filing suits to cast out the progress made by our Republican legislature and a Republican governor.
Standing in their way is one man – Austin Freaking Knudsen.
The youngest Speaker of the House in Montana History, an Eastern Montana native of Culbertson, and brilliant strategist, Knudsen is currently holding Montana on his shoulders, protecting us against their liberals and attorneys seeking to overthrow Constitutional Law.

This is just the beginning. Liberals are trying to find their victories in the courts, but Knudsen stands in their way. Prayers and support for Knudsen should go out immediately, because he may just be the finest public servant in Montana’s recent history.
Something must be done about Montana’s liberal courts, who seem to see their sole role as overthrowing Republican legislation. Until then, Austin Knudsen has a Herculean task of defending our laws and values in courts.

Upper Seven Law: Who’s the New Montana Law Firm that Exists Solely to Sue Conservatives?

Upper Seven Law Firm has Frankfurt School Marxist Critical Race Theory written all over their website. They are steeped in Critical Theory so deeply, so evidently, it is palpable. And so far, they seem to exist only as a “non-profit” law firm that exists to sue conservatives.
First, as previously reported, they are suing Gideon Knox Group (the publisher of this #1 Montana news organization) for our article about a Gothic Transvestite lobbyist who claimed to be suing us for “transphobia” on his Go Fund Me Page.
Knowing “transphobic hate speech” is not a thing, legally, they trumped up some other technicalities that our attorney is positive will find us vindicated. But not only with Gideon Knox Group be proven vindicated, the actions of Upper Seven Law Firm will be proven vindictive, and Adrian Jawort – their client – will pay a price for it.
Raph Graybill signed onto the suit, apparently eager to affirm his place as the man with the least chance to be elected to any office in Montana ever. Simultaneously, he was filing lawsuits on behalf of Planned Parenthood against Attorney General Knudsen to overturn our pro-life bills passed in the 2021 session.
Meanwhile, the Upper Seven Law Firm has filed a lawsuit against Christi Jacobsen (R), our Secretary of State, because of another technicality…a supposed glitch in the state website (she is not responsible for) that double-charged several people indiscriminately.
Yes. That’s the alleged technicality on her part. It could have been resolved – if real – with a phone call to whatever person runs the Montanan.gov website (it needs to be revamped and is antiquated).
Jacobsen seemed unimpressed with Upper Seven Law or the frivolity of their suit, with a spokesman claiming, “This office immediately started the refund process when a customer notified us, per Administrative Rule and MOM Policy, to ensure that we appropriately released the refunds.”
In other words, as soon as the state is notified it has overcharged a customer because of a website glitch, it reimburses them. But Upper Seven Law Firm wants their head on a platter.
Between suing this press outlet for a frivolous matter, and Secretary of State Jacobsen for a website I.T. issue, they are also suing Secretary Jacobsen over both SB 169 and HB 176, which are designed to protect our election security by safeguarding voter registgration.
Jacobsen responded, “The voters of Montana spoke when they elected a Secretary of State that promised improved election integrity with voter ID and voter-registration deadlines, and we will work hard to defend those measures.”
And, they’re going after conservative Ravalli County Sheriff for, well…basically following the law and stuff.
So who is Upper Seven Law Firm, attacking conservatives? They’ve existed since February and are non-profit. It is unclear – at this time – who is funding them. We’ve dedicated one of our investigative reporters to determine how they are funded. But their website betrays their CRT/Marxist ideas.
This is no typical law firm. They are a wing of the Democratic Party, funded by Dark Money, to attack Republican conservatives.
And where do they come from?
Aside from working for Governor Bullock, she also clerked for the most liberal appellate court in the United States, the 9th Circuit Cout of Appeals.
Sommers-Flannagan has a partner, Constance Van Kley. She also clerked for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
It seems that politics has brought the law firm together, and each and every lawsuit featured on their website is against Republicans and conservatives, including the Gideon Knox Group.
Attacking the press wasn’t, until recently in Montana, considered a priority on the to-do list of liberals. But the Montana Daily Gazette changed all that.
An additional staff member, Jacob Linfesty, is also on the team. According to their website, “During his summers, Jacob interned in Senator Jon Tester’s Billings office and on the Kathleen Williams for Montana campaign. Since graduating summa cum laude in May 2021, Jacob is excited to be back in Montana and working with Upper Seven Law.”
Montana liberals lost – big time – in the last election. It appears a new law firm has evolved to help the liberals toss out the People’s will in the courts, in between sessions, and harass Republicans with less-than-sensational lawsuits. It’s the political weaponization of the law, which is not as new a concept as this law firm’s new existence in Montana.
