Suspect Arrested After Man Found Dead, Woman With Multiple Gunshot Wounds Near Libby

A Flathead county suspect has been arrested after a man was found dead and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds, the result of a shooting at the Alexander Creek Campground near Libby on Saturday afternoon.
The suspect opened fire on the couple and then fled, but there is no word yet on what caused the shooting or how it escalated, or whether even it was self-defense or not. With the man deceased, the woman was transported by Life Flight helicopter to the hospital where is was in critical but stable condition.
Following the shooting, a multi-agency manhunt was launched and Garry Douglas Seaman, 63, was arrested based on statements from witnesses and also the victim, who was able to point to their shooter.
Seaman is currently being held in the Flathead County Detention Center.
