Months after a Nashville jury found six pro-life Christians guilty of both conspiracy and FACE charges for blocking access to an abortion clinic, resulting in the defendants each facing up to a maximum of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $350,000, compliments of the heavy-handedness of the Biden’s weaponized DOJ, four of their fates have been revealed.
In 1994, Bill Clinton signed FACE into effect, making it a crime to block abortuary access. In 2021, this group of six and four more participated in a sit-in/rescue at Carafem Health Center in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. They read from their bibles, sang hymns, and in some cases blocked access to some of the doors. When a police officer came to remove them, they peacefully complied and left.
The first defendant sentenced was Paul Vaugh, a father of 11 who was arrested at gunpoint by the FBI in an early morning home raid. He mercifully avoided jail time and received a sentence of six months in home detention, three years of probation, and no fines.
Dennis Green and Coleman Boyd likewise avoided jail time, receiving years of probation and supervised release. Boyd received a fine of $10,000, being deemed the only one who could afford it.
Cal Zastrow was not so lucky. Considered one of the organizers, he was sentenced to six months in federal prison and three years of supervised release. He will have to report to prison on October 1st. Commenting on his verdict, Zastrow declared:
