Rolling Stone Mag. Condemns House Speaker Mike Johnson For Helping His Son Stay Away From….Porn?
Rolling Stone magazine and the usual progressive pariahs are taking shots at House Speaker Mike Johnson after a 2022 interview had him explaining how he and his son each installed the porn accountability software “covenant eyes” on their computers to hold each other accountable.
Making the remarks during a panel on “War on Technology” at Cypress Baptist Church in Louisiana, Johnson explained:
“It scans all the activity on your phone, or your devices, your laptop, what have you; we do all of it. It sends a report to your accountability partner. My accountability partner right now is Jack, my son. He’s 17. So he and I get a report about all the things that are on our phones, all of our devices, once a week. If anything objectionable comes up, your accountability partner gets an immediate notice. I’m proud to tell ya, my son has got a clean slate.”
The howling with outrage is entirely selective and self-seeking. These are the same folk who would argue it’s perfectly natural and good for teens to be having sex and getting themselves into pornographic situations, so spare us the moral concerns.
These are fundamentally unserious people, and it shows how desperate they are to score any point.
Bonus. Which is not to say Johnson isn’t without legitimate criticism. We last wrote about him in our post: GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson was ERLC Trustee, Helped Kill Anti-Abortion Bill in Louisiana
