Oldest Christian Festival Distances Itself From Pro-Life Message in Spineless Act of Unfaithfulness
Keswick Convention, The oldest Christian festival in the UK, is rightly under fire for distancing itself from a pro-life message after the cowardly, spineless, and soft organization said in a statement that they were “saddened” that a group named Brephos showed up at their event with a non-graphic picture of a fetus in the womb. They asked the group to take down the sign and stated they were “delighted” to be working with police over the incident.
“We are aware that Brephos, an organization not affiliated with Keswick Ministries, are taking part in a ‘public education’ event in Keswick town today.
“We are saddened by this approach to targeting Keswick Convention visitors which we recognize also impacts others within the town.
“We would like to emphasize that this group has no affiliation with Keswick Ministries. As soon as we were aware that this activity might be a possibility, we contacted the organizers and requested they not use their public display in Keswick.
“Keswick Ministries are delighted to work closely with the police who we have made aware of the situation.”
Theologian Aaron Edwards gives an excellent commentary on why the actions of this group are so lame and pathetic.
