A 29-year-old man has plead guilty to trying to assassinate U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his home nearly three years ago, citing his ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade as the impetus of his wrath.
Nicholas John Roske plead guilty to the attempted murder of a Justice of the United States and is expected to be sentenced between 30 years to life in prison, according to federal sentencing guidelines.
Rosek, who was captured in Kavanaugh’s neighborhood wearing all black while armed with a gun, knife, and zip ties, told police he was upset about the leaked draft that overturned Roe V Wade and believed that by murdering the judge he could change the makeup of the court and impact it for years to come.
He told detectives, “I was under the delusion that I could make the world a better place by killing him.”
