Kennedy and Barrasso: Democrats in Disarray Over Spending Bill

Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana told Fox News’ Faulkner Focus that the Democrats are in “total disarray” as they fail to reach a consensus on Joe Biden’s astronomical, multi-trillion-dollar spending bill.

Senators Jor Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ) are reportedly refusing to vote on the bill as it currently exists, and now leftwing darling and “squad” leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) is reported as opposing the bill.

Kennedy described the situation to Fox News:

“[H]ere is what I’ve observed: The Democrats are pretty much in total disarray. President Biden is sort of like Kevin Bacon at the end of ‘Animal House’ when people are stampeding him, and he is saying, calm down, be calm, everything is under control. They say they have a framework. Now, to me, a framework is when your car has two wheels down, its axle dragging, you are in the ditch, and don’t have any help, and you tell your spouse, ‘Honey, I have a framework to get us out of this ditch.’ And I think that’s where we are based on the little I’ve seen of the framework.”

House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (CA) is defending the “framework” of the bill, telling reporters that the Democrats are a “big tent” despite her inability to get House Democrats to come together and approve Biden’s spending spree:

Again trying to dispel the narrative that Democrats are in disarray, Pelosi claimed her party is a "big tent" even though it looks more like a three-ring circus to observers.

Biden’s record-setting unpopularity is clearly filtering down to congressional members of his party who are now hesitant to align with Biden’s historically massive boondoggle.
