(Reformation Charlotte) JD Hall, the founder of Pulpit & Pen and current owner of Protestia and Montana Daily Gazette, has made an offer to conservative Southern Baptist pastor, Tom Buck stating that if Buck will run for SBC president, he will rally enough messengers to Anaheim to ensure his victory.
In the wake of serial plagiarist, Ed Litton’s announcement that he will no longer be seeking a second term, currently the only man to be nominated is California pastor, Willy Rice, who is clearly part of the Southern Baptist Convention’s establishment.
There has been much speculation about Voddie Baucham running for president and Baucham has confirmed that he has been asked to “accept the nomination,” however, it is unclear if Baucham is technically qualified due to his church membership status. While Baucham, a missionary in Zambia, is sent and supported by the Southern Baptist Church that he planted, he is also a member of a local church in Zambia which is not Southern Baptist.
Baucham is a favorite among the conservative, anti-social justice wing of the Southern Baptist Convention, including Tom Buck. Yet, the question remains: who will run against Willy Rice?
This is where JD Hall made the offer.
“Tom Buck, you can win. I will bring a thousand people with me to Anaheim County messengers. We will roll over them like a freight train….I’m going to make that offer for Tom Buck.”
