Bethel Church’s Bill Johnson Joins Slate of Cursed Heretics For Upcoming ‘Christian’ Conference
Bethel Church’s senior leader, Bill Johnson, continues to surround himself with arch-heretics and prosperity-gospel pariahs, joining a slate of speakers at Kenneth Copelands’ annual Southwest Believers’ Convention that comprise some of the most shameless hucksters and false teachers over the last four decades.
Taking place on July 28-Aug. 2, the promo material encourages potential attendees to “Immerse yourself in the Word alongside believers from around the world, and learn how to apply the Word to your daily life. Enjoy Spirit-led praise and worship and mountain-moving corporate prayer.”
Speakers include Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Creflo Dollar, Bill Winston, Bill Johnson (who recently had Kenneth Copeland speak at his church), and Benny Hinn. (Click name sto see our stories about them)
Johnson’s presence at the conference is, however, wholly unsurprising, as the 10,000-member Bethel Church in Redding, California is known for its assortment of false teaching and bizarre charismatic practices. From ‘Little God Theology’, teaching that Adam created the animals in Eden, that Michael the Archangel wears tights, and that angels sit around in heaven farting contents, it’s a bizarre world with significant influence.
