Angola Missionary Beau Shroyer was Stabbed to Death in a Murder-for-Hire Scheme Orchestrated by His Wife and Her Lover
Angola missionary Beau Shroyer was killed in a murder-for-hire scheme orchestrated by his wife, Jackie Shroyer, according to Angola authorities, who captured and detained several suspects in the crime.
According to the Criminal Investigation Services, Jackie Shroyer, the “mastermind” behind the killings, offered 23-year-old Isalino Kayoo, 22-year-old Gelson Ramos, and 24-year olf Bernadino Elias, the latter who was the couple’s security guard, $50,000 to murder her husband and frame it as a robbery-gone-bad
The men lured Shroyer out to a remote location under the guise of needing help and then stabbed him to death. A knife that the pastor had previously given Elias was found at the scene and police say they became suspicious after interviewing a ‘distraught’ Jackie during their preliminary investigation.
According to Manuel Halaiwa, spokesperson for the SIC, the suspects had criminal records for previous for robbery and kidnapping, and the motive for the crime involved a “strong suspicions of a romantic relationship” between Jackie, 44, and one of their suspects, Bernadino Elias, as well as Jackie not wanting to leave Angola when their mission ended.
Beau Shroyer was a Detroit Lakes Police officer, pastor, and married father of five. He and his wife, Jackie, moved to Angola three years ago to work as missionaries for SIM USA, where they focused on sharing the gospel with and ministering to children and youth.
