Anglican Global Leader Freaks Out After Ghana Anglicans Support Bill Jailing LGBTQ People

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, global leader of the Anglican Church, and all-around simpish and effete fella,’ has condemned his bishops in Ghana after they voiced support of a draft law submitted to Ghana’s parliament a few months ago that made it a crime to be gay, bisexual or transgender, along with advocating any for LGBTQ+ rights, with anyone found guilty liable to serve up to 10 years in prison.

In his letter, he writes that “The majority of Anglicans within the global Anglican Communion are committed to upholding both the traditional teaching on marriage as laid out in the 1998 Lambeth Conference Resolution I:10,” while also noting that “the Anglican Communion also made a commitment “to assure [LGBTQ+ people] that they are loved by God and that all baptized, believing and faithful persons, regardless of sexual orientation, are full members of the Body of Christ.”
That is all a lie, of course, as the Anglican Church is not the least bit committed to upholding the biblical teaching in marriage, as they are in full communion with denominations that don’t, such as the theology depraved and apostate Episcopalians. Welby himself is deeply compromised, and so concerned about coming across as homophobic that any language that is even mildly condemning of LGBTQ people is enough to set him off. Just last year, the Anglican Church invited all their openly gay Bishops who had same-sex partners and ‘spouses’ to their 2020 Lambeth Conference. Make no mistake, the Church of England has abandoned all biblical fidelity to the scriptures on the matter, and it is the African Anglicans who are the faithful ones.
According to the Guardian
A statement backing the bill, signed by the (Ghana) archbishop, Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, said the Ghanaian church’s support was “born the belief that the practice is unbiblical and ungodly. We see LGBT+ as unrighteousness in the sight of God and therefore will do anything within our powers and mandate to ensure that the bill comes into fruition … Leviticus 20:13 clearly declares that a male lying with a fellow male is an abomination and punishable by death.”
It added: “The church does not condemn persons of homosexuality tendencies but absolutely condemn the sinful acts and activities they perform.”
